87 Runner green light on lower dash near steering column

'87 4-Runner, haven't got a service manual yet for this year so please forgive me for asking...but what is the green light for near the steering column on the right hand side of the lower dash? Factory or possibly after-market? If it's the norm, is it supposed to be lit all the time? Even when the truck is turned off?

Maybe the key courtesy light? If so, might be someone messed with trying to disable the door open buzzer (which also controls that light). Normally it comes on when the door opens and stays on for ~30 seconds to light up the ignition switch area.

Thank you for the prompt reply! That's exactly what it is. Man, don't I feel like an idiot! Good theory to why it got messed with too, I wouldn't want a buzzer either!
