81 yota k i just bought it today im used to fords new to the whole toyota thing guy screwed me over the truck isnt getting any gasoline not shure where fuses are located ???? or where to start also need help with the wireing for all the lights headlites are not working trying to turn a pos back into a yota just need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Well getting fuel would either be the pump or something clogging the line. I believe there is only one pump, mechanical, located on the front right of the motor. I'd start there.

On the lights, the fuses I belive are either under the hood, or under the dash on the drivers side, but someone who is more familar with the older style trucks could probably help more.

 

here is something I posted a while ago...1981 wiring diagram not the best, might help..want to redo it but loaned out my FSM and haven't seen it back yet
Fuse box is on the left side of steering wheel...

81's have got (unless converted) a mechanically driven pump on the left side/front of the head as you are looking at the engine from front...my old '84 was missing the spacer between the block and pump causing my to eat pumps like crazy--till I realized it was gone:


plugged filter could be another issue, my 81's is located on the passenger side fender well..


headlight issue could be fuses, relay, switch...I hate wiring gremlins...Good luck
