4runner Gears?

I am going to look at a 4runner that is being parted out. It is a 93, v6 automatic. What are the gears they came with stock and can i put the 3rd members onto my 89 pickup?
Thanks

You'll have to get the axle code of the Runner's door jamb.

What is your 89 pickup?

If the 4runner has the swing out tire carrier then it most likely had 4.88

swing out ire carriers have been on 2nd gens since 1990 4.88 were not possible until 94 & 95 so i have been told but could be wrong I would have to guess 4.56 but if it a 93 v6 auto it is either 4.56 or 4.88 for sure so either way it is an upgrade for you, but if it the truck in staford he does not know what gears are in it look for either G254 or G144 on door jamb 254 means 4.56 144 means 4.88

i looked at the chart but ya still can't be sure. What im saying is that i will have to wait and see if it has a 4.88 or 4.56. Either one will work for me is what i am also trying to say. But thanks, that link will help, im going to look at the truck tommorow and will verifie the gears then by lookin at the sticker on the door jam.
THanks again

generally came in 92-95 trucks/4runners with V6, auto tranny, 31" tires, and tow package

Axle code on the door jamb will be G144
paint color on the pinon will be while for 4.88s

4.88 = happy

Thanks Kyle,
thats why I searched before I asked.... but I found out I already have 4.88 gears! One less thing to mess, now just waiting on some bj spacers to go with my cruiser coils! then shocks, then 33s, then sliders, and then...., and then....
