3.0l 4x4 high highway rpms
i have a 1990 toyota 4x4 with the the 3vze engine in it. according to dealer this truck originally had a 22re. highway rpms running at 3200 when doing 110 km/hr. truck only used for driving back and forth to work on the highway. any way of reducing rpms by changing gears, and if so what gear ratio to use.

depends what gears you have now, if you got 4.88s you could go to 4.56 or 4.10 for highway milage but it will suck on hills if you have bigger tires. a little more info needed here. tore size, gear ratio, auto, manual?
