3.0 egr

How can you tell if an egr valve is bad? And also can a vacuum leak throw a check engine code?

I am sure the 3.0 EGR valve is nearly the same as a 22re. You can apply vacuum to the metal pipe and you can here it open or close with vacuum. To test I just use the power of my lungs. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51647988

Leaks will cause the check engine light to come on and not throw a code in my experience. A clogged EGR can throw a code.
