22re intake phlenum reaaly cold???

I was experiencing some high idle issues with my recently obtained 1990 runner 22re... It seemed after researching it that something more than just a screw adj.. was need the idle screw was all the way in... Temp guage not working, and check light was on... Decided to explore... Removed tb and plenum.. carefully removed tps and cleaned the intake and tb w/ tb cleaner... installed it just as it was... now it runs really rough, missing a little and the phlenum is ice cold like r12 was shot through it... any ideas? or advice as to why?

You have a air leak causing the plenum to ice up. Check your gaskets

It's gotta be bad if it won't allow you to start back up. Pump the fuel or hold throttle open while trying to start.

Did you unplug it while engine was got or cold?

finally got it right... it was my own negligence... i left the injector ground wire disconnected... Still experiencing some idle issues... too high... replaced iacv... Seemed to clear up for the most part with air bypass screw out about 2 rounds 750-800 rpm @ idle... Drove it for a while... noticed it idling high when clutch engaged 1500-2000rpm??? what the heck??? air pypass screwed all in... dropped to 1000rpm... noticed throttle linkage was little sloppy(could be pushed back, then idle would be normal) Not sure if the new iacv and tps are not synced or what, but the work continues... ughh??
also sprayed ether on intake and flanges while running... the engine shuttered when it was sprayed around the back of phlenum at egr port

EGR gasket needs replaced or bypass the EGR. If your sucking air your going to have ideling issues.

There's your air/vaccuum leak. Solve that and see how she's running afterwards. That could very well be your problem.
