22r Carb Problems!
I recently swapped in a motor out of an 83 pickup into my 2wd 87 pickup. I dont worry about emissions in my area. I rebuilt the carb but still cant get it to run correctly if at all. I would like to disconect all the vacuum lines that I dont need, but am clueless as to which ones I need. I have tried to follow the Canadian diagram as it has the least amount needed. My carb is stock with 4 vacuum lines on the lower section of the pass side. I still have the stock distibutor with vacuum advance.. I am not near as mechanical as I wish and do not have any idea which lines I need and which lines I dont. Can someone tell me what lines I need for the dist,, and wether I can just block all the rest. I have double checked the timing and it appears to be as correct as I can get it. Thanks for any help!

other than emissions stuff ie EGR, etc etc, You only need a vacuum line for the vacuum advance (outter vacuum port on the distributor closest to the radiator), brake booster and PCV valve. And the front crank case vent on top of the valve cover, which really isn't a vacuum line as it only goes into the air cleaner. But in any case the vacuum lines are not gonna be your problem unless you have something crossed where it is allowing a huge vacuum leak. Maybe if you can tell use what issues you are having, we an help.

22r carb problems
Thanks for the help with the vacuum line issue. I think I got it hooked up right now but am having issues with exccess fuel. I think my reyurn line may be blocked. Gonna blow it out and see if that cures the problem. If not, I'll be back.

Still having the fuel issues. Blew out the return line, new fuel pump, rebuilt the carb, did that right, but still running rough. Drove fine for about ten minutes then loaded up and died. Wouldn't start again. Any thoughts? Maybe the vacuum lines aren't right, but I'll check again. Thanks for the help.
