2000 4runner 2wd suspension

What is the best bang for your buck suspension lift for a 2wd 4runner. I have looked into spacers but I am looking for something more aggressive. I want to go fast through mild woops and maybe if I get gutsy small jumps.

Any and all suggestions would be great, also I love this forum!

Icon, Camburg, King, Sway-Away, Toytec. Those are your best mid-travel solutions in that order if you want to hit the desert, imo. Since you're 2wd check out some long travel solutions, no need to worry about the extra cost of axles. Then again you'll be spending that unused money trying to keep the 4runner coiled rear up to speed with the front at that point.

I have picked out what I am going to do, thanks for all the help. I do have a couple questions:

Is there a benefit to getting a new upper A-arm (camburg, icon, total chaos..)?

What is a shock that can handle the cycling for whoops, I am assuming that I need one with a reservoir but which ones.

the benefit with new upper A-arms is that they can droop lower not causing it to be a bad rebound and what not i have a pair of camburgs on mine right now and love them and u dont necessarily need shocks with a reservoir for that i have tokico trek masters on mine and they work jus fine

So if I bought the toytech full suspension kit and added new A-arms up front I would be sitting pretty good?

Or should I upgrade to the ...?

Also as a side not my cousin has a 98 4runner with the 3" OME lift. He was curious if it is worth it to upgrade to the same set up I would be running.

New UCAs will only help if your shocks are constructed in a way to take advantage of the extra droop. These are often called "extended" versions. I know icon and camburg make them for sure. It's basically removing a limiting spacer inside of the coilover. I doubt toytecs do, but i'm not positive. If you run them anyways you will have smoother cycling of your suspension as well as correcting the alignment issues associated with a lift; just not the extra 0.75" of travel.

As for your cousin, I would not upgrade. OME makes a great riding setup to begin with for mild offroading and trailriding. I don't think they were designed with whoops in mind though.

alright I think I know what I am getting, has anyone but the toytech coils to the test to see how well they hold up?

Also just for fun what would be next step or upgrade from the 3" toytech lift? when I say upgrade I mean better off-road performance i.e. going fast over whoops and jumps

Solid axle would be more rock crawling and I would have to convert it to 4wd. I want to stay 2wd and do more pre-runner baja style off-roading

Why are you buying something now and in the same thread asking what to do next? Why don't you just save up and do it right the first time? I know, patience sucks. Just save up the 3k for LT...or spend the money now and then be disappointed when your truck is just bucking through those whoops.

I thought mid travel would staisfy me but the more I read the more I want long travel. I just sold my rock crawler and so I have cash to get what I need I just am new to desert style off roading. I will probaly wait a little longer and read more about what long travel to get and go that way.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

tokico shocks

Can anyone tell me the application for:

Tokico 48510-35240

I got them for free and I am trying to see if they will work on my 2000 4runner 2wd.
