20 years of 4Runner

Check this out guys. 20 years of 4Runners in the same photo. Mine is the 1995 and my coworker's husband bought the 2015 Pro version. The new one is awesome with that new car smell. Gobs of hi tech gadgets, a 15 speaker stereo. His is cool, and I like it, but I'm happy with mine. About to get a 3 inch lift to go with my 33's. Couldn't help but park by her and document this 20 years of 4Runner history! It's a testament to the quality of Toyota that mine is running good after 20 years. I'm already encouraging him to get his lifted and fully pimped out while his wife protests LOL. :-)

I have to say I like yours a lot better than the new ones? Still a sucker for the 1gens but I have some great memories in 2nd gens like yours as well.

Thanks Fish Guy. I like the older ones better as well. 4th gen and on they went to a Soccer Mom type design that lacks the aggressive bad a$$ look I like to see. The 2015 front grill looks very similar to the Lexus models which appeals more to your wealthy suburbanite but not really to me. Overall the Pro model looks aggressive though with the factory lift, rims and tires. It just needs some mods.

Could you emagine how bad to the bone your older 4runner would be with 40,000$ in mods hung on it. Those pro 4runners are like 41,000$ before your interest payment gets involved.

It's a tough call as to which one I want to drive to work each day too.... '89 is fun all around, but the '15 has leather and a very smooth and quiet ride.

I must say I love that first gen green machine! It's a unique body style that ages like fine wine.I own a 91,by the way what type of tires are you running on her. They really fit that 95 perfect.
