1994 22re pickup click no start

Hi, I have a 1994 22re pickup dlx 2wd 5 speed 300,000. It has a click no start issue. I'm getting a drop in voltage between whats at the battery and the starter. I was going to try the starter relay mod next, but wasn't sure if 1994s were affected by this issue?
Thank you, I really appreciate any help!

How much of a voltage drop? Clean all the cable contacts and battery terminals. I've had battery cables that "looked" great and were corroded inside. Replace if needed.

There is a round copper contact inside the starter solenoid that is known to fail with high mileage. It often starts as an occasional click, no start. But the contactor rotates to a better spot and next time it will start. Eventually it needs to be replaced or some people just get another starter. Have you had the started tested?

Good luck with it. Please follow up with your solution.
