1986 22R carb. trouble

I have a 1986 yota 2wd truck 22R engine 4 speed tranie, has about 150k miles, has run great for many years. It sat for about 10 years, I have brought it out of hibornation. Replaced all gas filters, new oil change, new fuel pump, new plugs, new fuel lines, new air filter, drained all gas, put new gas several times. Now the problem, I have replaced the the carb. with rebuilt 4 times, 3 Vapex, 1 Holley and they all end up doing the same thing. They last from four days to three months. It starts good, idles good but when I try to accelertate it dies, if I let off it idle good again. I have watched the site glass on the carb. and it stays full of fuel. If I cover the carb. alittle with my hand as I accelerate it will accelerate ok. I was told to check the EGR valve by taking the hose off and creating a vaccum on the valve, the truck dies like the book say it should so I think it is good. I have been working on this for about 8 months now and cant think of any thing else. Can anyone HELP me. Thank You for any help.

Are there and adjustment screws on the carb that let you fine tune it or is it preset and sealed ?.

It is pre set and sealed, also if I close the choke butterfly almost all the way it will accelerate pretty good.
