im selling the camper shell that came on my truck (1984) to someone who has a 1998 tocoma will this work? it doesnt matter what it looks like. so will this fit like it is or is there some kind of mod i can do to it to make it work?

I dont think its gonna work, taco bed is way different than your bed.

Take measurements... match them up..

 

the outer mesurments are the same but i didnt think about the inner measurments being different. so what im asking is are the top sides of the bed thicker on the new one compared to the old one?

 

it worked out just fine. little tight but it worked.
