where to find a new 22r-te exhaust manifold!!

i've spent hours searching, on the forums, google, bing, various autopart sites. and i cant seem to find one. i need one bad! well not going to argue about me needing it or me wanting it. but mine has a pretty nice crack in it, and an attempt at welding the crack from the p.o. so any help on where to get these would be GREATLY appreciated. thank you so much!

Wink

Good luck finding a new factory one(as in brand new) I have heard tell of people building custom Turbo manifolds for these engines. They don`t come cheap $$$

You might want to Check into 22RTE trucks if you have not all ready.

The trouble with welding exhaust manifolds is finding a filler that has the same properties as the manifold for expansion and contraction as it goes through the thermal cycle.

I have heard of some good results with an electrode from Muggy Welds LLC but I have not used these myself.

Then again if you don`t have the skills and have to pay to have it done it will not be cheap no matter which way you go.

Good Luck

may be an option too but doesnt have air injection passages if you even need those.

i really did mean "good luck".

if it makes you feel better i'm dealing with a ratty transmission while planning to get an old aftermarket turbo kit for a 22r work with a 22re and trying to do the turboin a way so I can unbolt it when I need a smog test.

How did you make out sourcing a manifold. I upgraded to a steed speed t3/t4 and I don't need mine anymore. I don't think that it has any cracks I didn't notice any when I took it off the engine, but if you are interested I'll look it over real good. It's not going anywhere so once you look after your bills in Febuary drop me a PM.

hey sorry about not being on top of this. we moved back to our old property (the one that burnt down) and we dont have anymore internet
anywho i braized the manifold and don't think is leaking anymore, but the gasket between that and the turbo is still leaking!!! so i've played around with it a little. it burns the copper rtv right off (i figured it would) so i just need a new one of those gaskets...

that or just weld it until i get out of wyotech and run the t3 or t4 turbo setup i wanna run....
