WANTED: 4.10 rear 3rd member for '94 4x4 Pickup

I'm looking for a 3rd member (or entire axle possibly) for my '94 4x4 pickup w/3vze. I let it run low on gear oil & destroyed it. Prefer within 75 miles of Southern MD (Calvert County). Price negotiable.

Please PM me if you can help~~ THANKS!

That would be awesome! Is it in good condition? Oh, wait; it needs to be for a V-6....

They're in perfect condition. I changed the gear oil 2x since i've had it, once when i first got it and the next after i went through some deep water. They don't make any noise, use em every day.

Mine's out of a 22re but it might work in your truck i think only the housing is different but everything else should bolt up fine.

I'd double check that if i were you.

All the 8" 3rd members are interchangeable. V6 has a stronger 4-pinion carrier, 4 cyl has a 2-pinion. They're both plenty strong though, and will fit in any 79-95 8" axle housing. I have a 3rd member from an 87 4 cyl 4Runner in my 88 V6 PU rear axle housing. I haven't had any troubles with it in the 4 years it's been in there, and I abuse it pretty hard.

But even the housings should be the same for an 86 4Runner and a 94 PU. The only thing that would be different would be the brake shoes. 4Runners have wider shoes, but the rest of the brake hardware is the same. Unless the PU has ABS, then there might be some slight differences. You could probably swap the ABS stuff over to the 86 axle and make it work too.

I'd still prefer to stay with the V6 third. Thanks for the offer, Swimmerboy!
