I must have selected the wrong link and now I cant find it! Ill keep looking. Toyota fiberglass is pretty popular! This is my first day on yotatech and Im starting to see alot of it on here.. thats what i get for not checking all the forums first!

This guy on ebay seems to sell a lot of yota parts. I have came across several interior peices, i just keep an eye on his items from time to time.. =)http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/griffithmotorsparts/

I'm having a hard time finding a decent Longbed, mines rested through on the sides in a few places.. Its all I need to get and then I can get painting.. I'm almost to the point of using bondo and just painting it until I can find a decent one on CL.

Nice 1st gen beds are hard to find.. nice 1st gen longbeds are even harder.

I also need a tan/brown drivers side door panel.

I have clear turn signals on my truck, if they weren't cracked I'd trade them for some amber ones in a heartbeat.

HI, my name is jon. I just did a sas swap on my 94 toyota pickup. I ended up putting a 1980 solid axle under my truck well i want to up date my brake rotors, but iam finding it a bit difficult to up date my rotors to vented rotors. I did some research and found out the jf40 rotors would work on the old 1980 axle it that true? Iam new to posting questions on yotatech so I dont quite know how to post stuff. my name on the site is jonwaynester if that helps, or you can just email me at jonwaynester@gmail.com. I really am having a hard time being able to up date my braking system and suggestions will be greatly appreaciated

yes .. this is why you need to upgrade the hubs to the 83 (2 bolt style) .. no problems if you do that !!

I wish I would have known that the brake up grade would be difficult but possible

I just did the swap last week on my 79 and ended up finding the right rotors at Napa, the part # is NB 4885678. They are the correct ones with only 6 holes that bolt to the back of the hub assembly. They were only $59 a piece and look to be really good quality(made in Japan). You can look them up on their website. IFS calipers bolted right on and everything lined up.

I know this thread is kinda old, but I'm having one heck of a time locating the shifter boots that bolt to the floor of a '79 Hilux (I found replacement ones for the tranny & t-case at Marlin Crawler) and all the used ones I've seen are age cracked. Any help?

You may be in luck since Toyota still sells many parts for the '79. I wish I was as lucky with my '74.

Maybe here:

but I hesitate only because they are Trekker originals .. (potentially worth lots $$ ) I know this dosnt matter to you , with a regular cab truck , but like the 84+ 4Runners , the Trekker had a filp forward seat track

talk about RARE PARTS
it's my only hesatation .
