quick question:

is there any seats out there that are direct bolt in or do you have to modify the mounts for it to fit?

Not at the moment, they are the only seats I have for it. I want to upgrade to some 3rd gen SR5 seats, just cant find a blue set. I might end up parting out the truck anyway so il let you know.

Sorry Slacker, The bumper is done for, was reversing my truck into a spot thats out of the way in my yard, caught a small tree with it, bent it real good chrome is all messed where it bent but I got it sort of strait.. its missing the end caps anyway. I have the front mudflaps, they aren't mint a couple of the bolt holes are torn, gave the rears to my friend already but il ask if hes going to use them.

Sometimes 2wd's are a goldmine for parts.

For you guys looking for a dash pad, I have a mint black one with the end vents from my 81. Built a custom dash and I don't need it. What's it worth?, I don't know. Let me know if you are interested, Pete

hey slacker, there may still be a stock chrome bumper from my old truck in a wrecker out here (corvette holdings) the bumper was a factory toyota replcaement and was still new in the box when i bought the truck 2 years ago. unfortunatly it was written off and ended up at the wrecker. the bumper was intact though and he may still have it. if you want i can swing by and ask.

i found the bumper today, its off an 83, 100% strait, no dings or rust, even on the back side. its complete with the bumper ends, trim, signals and mounts. the guy wants 100 bucks.

also this wrecker is made up of mostly toyota trucks. hes probably got a dozen or more 1st gens, so any other little parts he may have.

for the dome light cover, ebay has a listing for the complete interior mirror with dome light and cover. Price is around $20.

I'm compiling a list of things I need and locations that I find them. Once I get it worked out, I'll post it with hot links to the items.

I think like everyone else, my dash is shot and need replaced. I'll likely fab a steel insert instead.

I have a coverlay dash cover on mine and it's pretty good. It fits right and doesn't add much height or thickness to the cracked dash. It just needs glued down.

The item I need is the tranny shift boot. Marlin carries the rubber boot, but 32 years ago my 82 had a vinyl one. I may make one of those too, but would like to find the original.

I phoned Peter already today .. found the # in the yellow pages ..
I'm having him check for some other pieces for me as well .. so we'll see .. but I do want the bumper for sure .

I would be interested in a trade , but i'm a little hesatent .
seats are perfect .. no rips or tears anywhere , just need a good clean !

but I hesitate only because they are Trekker originals .. (potentially worth lots $$ ) I know this dosnt matter to you , with a regular cab truck , but like the 84+ 4Runners , the Trekker had a filp forward seat track

talk about RARE PARTS
it's my only hesatation .
