quick Seafoam & O2 Sensor question

gonna seafoam my 03 4r this week. i know there is a plethora of info on here....maybe too much to filter through and even search though

quick question tho, i know sometimes the O2 sensor can get gummed up when seafoaming so people remove the O2 sensor when seafoaming. it is my understanding there are two O2 sensors. do both get gummed up or just sensor 1?

also, any ideas of what to plug up the hole with temporarily when seafoaming with the O2 sensor is removed?

thx!

After rustproofing my truck it stared to through P0420 code when moisture. I'd just rap them down with something and/or spray wuth WD40 prior spraying.
The top ones are Air/Fuel mixture sendors while the bottom ones are Oxygen sensors. You can potentially damage both.

Have you tried searching on here at all? Google? YouTube?
It's all over the place man.

I would use YouTube as you can actually watch people do it and if I remember correctly, they have a newer Tacoma or 4Runner on there.

Here's a quick link I got by searching for "Seafoam Toyota" on YouTube.

I didn't have a chance to look through all the vids but maybe one of those will have your answer.

Like I said though, there are tons of threads on here about it.

when i did mine i put seafoam trough my brake booster hose, if you look at the master cylinder, there is a hose behind it kinda close to the firewall, pull off the nearest hose to the mc with the engine running and you can tell if its a vac. hose. i put a funnel in the hose a poured the seafoam down the hose slowly. i didnt bother with the 02's, but im sure remoing them and plugging the hole is better then leaving them in.
