ALL PRO sliders w kickouts

got a 2007 taco dbl cab shortbed
getting some sliders since I don't have running boards
this may sound dumb but I know the sliders work well on the trail how well do they work with the parking lot maniacs who throw their car doors open into your vehicle.
My truck will remain at stock height for a couple of years
any one with any intel on that ?
$339 seems to be the price right now and I am liking the welded on versions

where in va are you?

ironpig in Fredricksburg does custom work. I think he quoted someone 350ish to get them fabbed up and installed.

also, anthony from http://rva-or.thinkmud.com/ does custom slider work.

personally, I like the stubbs deluxe sliders.

To answer your original question yes sliders prevent about 100% of door dings unless it's someone in a vehicle where the bottom of their door is taller than your slider. I used to find paint on my sliders all the time... used to just make me laugh to think of the stupid person that whacked their door being careless.

Sorry for the thread hijack - but which sliders are you running UK? I'd been leaning toward the bolt-ons from Shrockworks, Demello, or CBI, but now I might be swinging toward the Stubbs weld-ons because they do a better job of doubling as a side step (which I need) and are quite a bit cheaper.

I think I saw that you had posted some questions on trail gear? There stuff is nice, but it doesn't look like they are making anything for the 05+ Tacomas?
