4th Gen, 2WD Lift...
Do you all think it's dumb to lift my 2WD, even though I don't go off roading? I just really like the way they look lifted with that Revtek 3" lift.
Also, if I were to lift it, I would like to keep my rims, but they are 18". Do they make larger tires for 18" rims?
The actual problem is that when I bought 4Runner I got this "Tires and Batteries for Life" deal. But the only catch is you have to do all you maintenance through. Well I just hit 15k and the 15k service is like $269. For a bunch of stuff I could do in my drive way except for an alignment. The 30k service is like $300 something. However, I get new tires when ever I need them (2/32 tread left). My 275/55/18 Michelins are $166 each with my Toyota discount.
So do I,
1) Keep the current set up, let them do my maintenance, and keep the warrenty on my tires.
2) Keep my current set up, do my own maintenance, buy my own tires.
3) Do my own maintenance, lift my truck, buy larger tires for my 18" rims.
What do you all think?
TIA

Billy say bring it up! It's beside the point whether it is a 2 or 4 wheel drive if it is just the look you want to obtain. The kit is cake to install. And yes, there are many new tires out for 18" wheels, quite a few different 33" ones, so I dont think that would be a prob. Let me know if ya need any help finding tires.

BFG A/T 285/70R18 (32.5 x 11.2) this is what i would go with
285/65R18 (31.4 x 11.2) there are a ton in this size
265/70R18 BFG, etc.
275/65R18 Michelin, etc.
If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Sure do clicky
I'd go with the 3" Revtek lift as compared to the 2.5" Daystar lift. The reason I say that is because I only needed about a 1/2" to get me trully levled. Check out my boy Jay for the Revtek or Daystar kit
Hope this helps
