Would you buy a 90 4Runner for $500?
I have an opportunity to buy a 90 or 91 4Runner with 200+k miles, fully loaded, V6, auto. The lady says that her mechanic told her it needed a new engine, so she bought a new car. She bought the 4Runner when new. She's only asking $500 for it and I was wondering what you guys think. I used to have a 93 4Runenr, and I really liked it. How much do you think it would cost to swap the 3VZE for a 3.4 or something else?
If I did get it then it would be a dedicated wheeling rig, so out comes the
and away we would go on an all out build.
I need to figure out if it would be worth getting. Then I have to convince my wife to go for it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Id buy it, park it on the side of the house, and do the swap when you have the cash.
EDIT: or you could that $500 into your rig now and wheel it like crazy. but if you need another vehicle go for it.

Jump on it dude!
I was looking locally for a year for a deal like that. If you don't take it, I will. I still have a good tranny for a 3.0 auto. Don't hesitate, don't meditate, call now!
