wont change gear Auto box on 3vze
Please please help me fellas I have a 92 plate 3vze and some times it wont change gear first thing in the mornings this seems to be connected to the fact that the speedo is intermitant first time its started but I dont always get both together sometimes just have speedo issues !!!
The gear box was fully rebuilt only 5 months ago and was fine for first couple of months but has been in the mud since !!
Also sometimes its the gear is slow to engage as in park to reverse or first.
but all oil levels are good and other than that it seems tip top any clues cos i cant get to work at the min cos it took 20 mins to get into 2nd today.

My guess is a shift solenoid is sticking. Did they replace all the solenoids while it was being rebuilt? That's a common practice by a good rebuilder because they are a common problem and things as small as lint from a rag can cause problems with them. If there was a failure of the tranny bad enough it needed a rebuild there might have been debri going though the tranny and/or ATF cooler. How's the color of the ATF? Was there any warranty with the rebuild? If so, take it back!

have had a thought the gear box has a speedo sensor on the rear and the speedo has gotten progressivly worse over past couple of months am wondering if maybe the oil seal is worn ??? Seems to have trouble selecting gear when pointing up hill for the first time I drive it sensor at the back of the gear box..
Also I have a front Automatic disconnecting diff ??? what does this do ?? I know have normal one works but what is the advantage of A.D.D.
