I have a request. Can you guys PLEASE stop posting really arbitrary questions ie "what looks better?" The only people who should be allowed to ask the question "what looks better?" are women with new outfits. Even that is moderately annoying most of the time. Stop asking "how does this look (, honey)?" questions- this goes for wheels, tires, paint etc. Its a truck, not a new outfit.

As for clearance, get on your hands and knees and have a look or just use your head. They stick out from the body down and to the side, so YES, they do reduce clearance. So, as long as you are tall enough to get into your truck and are not dating midgets regularly, you can pitch those running boards. Sell them on CL, I got $70 for mine.
