Wiring Harness Routing

I got the new engine in yesterday and got most everything put back together, but I'm having some trouble figuring which way the harness should be routed through the intake area. My harness got chewed on by some squirrels a few years ago, and I had an auto electrical place fix it, but with that, the shape of the harness is not super clear. I have all the plugs labeled, so I know where the ends need to go, but I can't seem to get the extra slack in some of the lines.

Is there a diagram that explains how the wires "flow" around the intake? and I suppose, even down by the starter and past the tranny. There's also a right angle bracket with a boss on it and I can't find what that boss should screwed be to. Fender?, intake support bracket?

Thanks

A little more info would be helpful. Year, model, engine, efi?

Sorry, 1994 22RE, so the EFI/intake has a center opening that allows wires or tubing to be routed through it from lower down by the oil filter. The valve cover electrical and I believe 2 of the injector wires come up through that center opening. other wires come around the front and the rear of the EFI, then several run down near the starter and off to both sides of the tranny and also off to the O2 by the cat. Those are pretty straight forward, but I'm not able to get the slack I need. Something is funky with the main harness by below the intake.

Your injector harnes comes off of the fender and lays across the intake. Your IACV, oil sender, knock snder, reverse, transfer case, all drop thru the hole of the intake. Some try to route it to the outside of the intake.

If you put your Plenum on then tried to make your connections, it will be to short. You are going to need to pull the Plenum back off and make your connections then install your Plenum.

I have seen some cut the bar off of the Intake just to avoid that issue. The bar just inbetween the runners in the intake.

That probably explains why I can't get the length I'm looking for. Cool, I'll look at it tomorrow after work. Thanks

I have a 1992 22RE, should be about the same. If you want I'll take photos of the wiring loom routing. Mine is nice and clean, looks like brand new under the hood. Let me know exactly what you need a photo of.

I'll take as much info as I can get. I don't know where the right angle plastic harness bracket with boss goes. I can't tell if it connects to the intake or the fender. Anyway, if you just got a few photos of the intake and down along the side beneath it, that's probably all I'd need.

Thanks

Those help a lot. Thanks. You found that right angle harness piece and it totally makes sense now.

Thanks again.
