I'd recommend you shop in the 8,000 lbs pull category. My Warn m8000 hasn't let me down, ever. Your vehicle weighs over 3,500 lbs so a 3,000 lbs pull winch won't get you unstuck, and would be marginal, even if you run a snatch block.
3000 lbs winches are for ATVs.

I have a Mile Marker 8000 pound winch. It hasn't failed me yet. I purchased it through Costco online, and they will warranty it no questions asked. It cost me about $390, delivered to my house.

It is recomended that your winch be rated for 1.5 times the weight of ur vehicle. If it was me, I'd go by gross weight (found on ur door plate) and round up. so say close to 5,500 x 1.5 = 8,250. a good brand winch say like Warn 8,000 would do fine. If ur getting a cheap brand u might want to step up to a 9,000 lb.... U could always double up using a snatch block with a smaller winch but then hope the cable holds up and if it snaps it could do some severe damage... in other words, I'd only put a 3,000 lb winch on my 4wheeler.

I like 4crawlers method. Go weigh your truck with your normal gear, full tank of gas. Then multiply by 1.5. I didn't actually do that liked the thought.
my 9000lbs t-max has saved our butt several times, full gear and frame sitting on the snow.
Keep in mind it is not just the weight of the vehicle you gotta move, but pulling it from what ever its stuck in. I'd argue that a 6,000lbs winch is too light.
Shop around.

the military did a demonstration on Dirty Jobs (discovery channel) and they pulled out a stuck humvee by hand.....they just ran a bunch of snatch blocks..lmao
sure..if you got a 3000lb winch..you could run the cables in the right way to multiply that winches capacity MANY MANY MANY times its said weight..
although it probably wouldnt last more than one or 2 pulls..hahahaha
just get a nice 8,000 or 9,000lb winch...or a 10,000..lmao

yep..you actually dont need a winch..if you got enough time..you can get a REALLY LONG rope...or cable..whichever..run a bunch of snatchblocks..and pull your truck out by hand..its possible..
just get a Smittybuild XRC8..they are NIICEE and have a greeaatt price..
i havent heard many bad things about gorilla...actually no bad things..of course not many people own them that i talk to..lol

And to add to the debate of the OP, recently i have been thinking. A warn m8000 goes for about $700-900. A Tmax 12000 pounder goes for similar. A cheaper winch using less of its capability or a "stronger" (<-- completely debatable) warn m8000 using all shes got to get the truck out of the ditch?

yes..but they also sunk a BIG duece and a half (really big truck..hows that..like 4wd semi big..lmao) in a mud hole..and pulled it out using snatch blocks..
if i ever get a winch..which i will..and it will likely be an XRC8, i will get a couple of snatch blocks..and numerous other things to help be safe..lol..but i likely wont use half of it hahaha
