Found a deal on an '02 Tacoma 3.4 engine, wiring harness and ECM for $600. The guy claims it only has 78K on the motor.
Here's the issue. I want to put it in a '93 pickup, 3.0, auto, 4x4. Will this motor, being a '02, still bolt up to my tranny and can I use a 4x2 computer and engine harness on my 4x4?
This motor is about a 5 hour drive for me so I want to make sure it'll work before I jump on it. Thanks in advance for your alls help not to mention all the info. I've gained off of this site already. Even other forums refer their members here for information.

 

3.4L should bolt up to the '93 trans. Don't know about the computer, but you can always pick up a different one from www.nix99.com
or a pick and pull. I paid $900 for the same set up with more miles (but it was also within 3 hours of me).

 

Thanks for the reply Wii Tarded. Sounded like a good deal to me too, just didn't want to pay the extra $50 for the computer and harness if I couldn't use them. Anyone else got any input?
