I believe stock backspacing is 3.75. Those are going to put your wheels far inside your fender and may hurt your steering radius alot. I would go to 3.75 max and you could safely go to 2.5 if you want wider

Not a problem dude. Dont go more than 3.75 and youll be good to go. Do some searching also on backspacing and you may be able to find some pics of what it looks like and also what works really good for others

Also keep in mind that the stock 3.75" BS is on a 7" wide wheel. 8" wide will make your wheels stick out more and if you do a 3.75, even more. What size tires are you going with? That could make a difference on your choice too. A lot of guys run a 4" BS with an 8" wide wheel.

An 8" wide wheel would stick out father than a 7" wheel definitely but if you go to 4"BS than compromises turn radius and leads to tire rub. if you go with the stock BS you will need fender flares in most places to keep it legal but they make it look better IMO plus gives you a nice wide affect and better stability and handling.

That's why I'm asking what tire size is he planning on using? If he doesn't need fender flares with a 4" BS wheel, what's wrong with doing that? It's only .25" difference and he'll save money on the fender flares. If he's going to use a 13.5" wide tire, then yeah a 3.75" BS makes a lot more sense.

i run 15x8's with a 4 inch backspacing because i found if you run the stock set up with bigger tires they rub on your upper A-arms

im gunna be running 32x11.50's on these wheels and plan to get some fender flares anyway but do u think it will rub with these tires + wheels?

I thought stock was 4.5. I'm pretty sure I'm running 3.75 now, and they stick out a lot farther than stock.

i could be wrong though

Yeah, they'll fit. 32x11.50 is a good choice. I'd recommend a 1" body lift. I spent $50 on mine and am running a 32x10.5 with no probs. I have a 4.5" BS though. 4" would look nicer and still won't rub. Look through a thread called "post your pics" (I think). Theres a lot of trucks running that size and they look pretty darn good.

I run 15x8's with 3.75" backspacing and have 31x12.5 BFG's on them and my tires stick out about 1" past the bodyline.

If you put a level across the back lip of a wheel and measure straight up off the center of the wheel that is your "backspacing" measurement.

Earlier this month I asked a similar question. There is some real good help and knowledge out there. Go to SEARCH: Key Words; Wheel, offset. It was posted by me toyotagogo. I got a couple of good replies. One by JAY351. Read that one and look at the photo. Another was form 4Crawler. He put me on to a very good website about tires and wheels. Very good information. http://www.4crawler.com/diesel/tires.shtml#WHEELS . I hope this helps, it sure helped me.

I don't think you will, but you can always add them on later if you do. A 2" BL has it's benefits as well. Mainly the ability to raise the gas tank. Not too sure how it's located on P/U's, but on my Runner, I couldn't raise my tank the 2" up to the bracket with the exact same holes because I only had a 1". 2" is the max I'd go though.
