I have a 94 4runner with a v6 that I threw a rod in. I was wondering if anybody knows if the motor mounts on the frame are the same for the v6 as they are the 22re? I know the mounts that connect to the motor are different but I'm not sure about the ones attached to the frame.

Any help is appreciated.

The frame mounts are more towards the front of the truck on the 22E:

The motor mounts, bell housing pattern are different. You could swap in a 3.4 from a newer 4Runner - there are hundreds of posts on that here if you search.

 

I think the 3.4 is going to be your best bet.

Does anybody have any info or experience swapping a chevy v8 small block into a 2nd gen 4Runner. I would like to use my existing 5 speed manual trans and hopefully find a custom bell housing, motor mounts etc.
