Whos running 5:29 Gears!!! :)

Hey i have heard soo many bad things about 529s.. I infact are runing them ( they came in the truck when i purchased it) Its more of a tar baby with occasion pounding offroad should i change it? or is the small pinion gear actually fine unlike what everyone says? Spill your expericence.. please help?

This subject has been covered. And I think you are getting your story mixed up with 5.71's.. 5.29's (&5.71's for that matter) have proven reliable (based on a set up done by someone with the correct skill yet) for years....

5.29s are extremely reliable. 5.71s are a bit eh, but still can be proven reliable. toyotas dont generally have running gear issues unless you've put fat tires on an axle that isnt built for it.

hes right, a search would have shown this. But since I'm here read my sig to see my build. Only thing I've broken with that much power are transmissions. The gears are fine.

I have two Yotas, 82 and 86, both 5.29's one on 35's other on 38's. They are both fine.

alright thanks guys.. guess ill keep my 529s. and i did look up on google if anyone had problems with 529s in yotas.. nothing really came up..
