old pic of mine. not an 98-91, but still a 3rd gen pickup and this thread needs lots more pics!

personally, whenever i check out 3rd gen pickups (i always do), the first thing i look for is whether or not they've got the V6 script in the grille. If they don't, I give them a big 'ole . If they do, they just get a

i've always liked the classic "toyota" script in the grille, which is why i've been planning on satoshi-modding mine sometime next year.

The only yota I've ever owned. I would still like to have a 1st gen runner though. I just like the squareness of the <89 and the round headlights of the 79s are killer too!

God you guys are killing me!!!

Best light truck in the world! I miss my reg cab so bad... Wrecked it and it's sitting at a friends going to the bad. Funny thing is, back before I ever saw my 1st Top Gear I said I'm gonna pour a concrete pad for it and it'll spend the rest of it's life right there at that spot, it had served me so well.

Then TG copied my idea with their Hilux...

4 pages of the best IFS light trucks IN THE WORLD!

And no, Taco's don't count. I've parted out 2 and they ain't sh** compared to a Hilux! PERIOD!

The Hilux frames aren't under recall either...

That was during the summer. Man she's changed so much since then!

You interested in keeping it for a LLLOOOONNNNGGG time?

Make friends with a car wash that has HOT WATER ONLY, or buy a Steam Genie.

Wash everything down to the inside of the frame after a good salting. Then keep you a garden sprayer filled with a light oil.

Keep the salt washed off (with HOT water ONLY!) the truck, especially the cab sills and frame. Then spay the entire bottom half of the truck including INSIDE the frame, say about once a month in the winter time... Less as the salt isn't being used.

And if any surface rust shows up, kill it ASAP!

Remember, fenders and beds are replaceable though... Don't let the sight of them get you down... They come off.
