From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
Pretty sure no. These "Lower to lift" kits drop everything down on the bottom 4"
That means even the mounts and bolt holes for the factory skid plate.
BudBuilt is who you're gonna want to see.
You MIGHT be able to fab the stock skid plate to fit, but without a lot of reinforcement it'll be flimsy, and it'll be 4" too short to cover everything...

Here's my '92. I love it, got it last year with only 96K miles on it, but I really don't like the 92-95.5 grills. I had a '91 Runner and that grill was so much cooler looking. Anybody know if it's just a simple swap, snap one out and the other in, or if you have to change around the headlight's also? I'd like to change it out.
Also anybody know what the hell this stock Toyota color is called? Sometimes looks green, sometimes gray. The PO must have cracked up the right front, did a bad job of matching the paint. At least he got the stock decals removed, still don't know what Toyota was ever thinking with those, except maybe back in the 70's and 80's.

Thanks Chris, I think those pics were right after I washed it or something. But yeah it's a clean truck for being 18 years old, it was taken care of by the PO.
So the 89-91 grill is just a simple snap in swap? That's cool, I think I can probably find some around. I don't mind the 92-95.5 grill itself as much as I just hate the Toyota symbol, it looks so much better when it just says "Toyota", that symbol is so lame.

You should take the grille from a '89-91 pickup, the '90-91 4Runners have a different grille without vertical bars each side of "Toyota", a slightly different shape and different mounting points. Also, the '89-91 and '92-95 side markers are slightly different (the chrome trim is thicker on the '92-95) and the bumpers are different too (3 piece on the earlier ones and single piece starting in 1992 and the valance design changed that year too)

PhilR....I've been staring at your earlier post #79, and looking at all the differences. It looks like the '89-'91 grill is slightly diagonal on both sides and that the shrouds around the headlights are as well. Also the 92-95 bumpers dip down in the middle to accomodate the thick part of the grill design (kind of looks like Toyota just flipped the grill upside down on the 92-95, from the '89-'91).
So it would seem that I'd definitely have to swap out the shrouds around the headlights to match up with the grill and also there may be a gap between the grill and the bumper, unless of course I switched bumpers too. Not sure I hate the Toyota "symbol" enough to change all of that out and change my bumper, not to mention that my grill and bumper are in really good shape for being 18 years old......but I do love the grills that say "TOYOTA".
To be honest I loved the grill from my '88 the best, but that's another story.
gray94toyopu.......how did you do your swap, post #57? Looks like you changed out everything including the bumper.
gary96360......your's looks like you have a '89-'91 bumper and a '92-'95 grill, post #8.

I believe the color is imperial jade mica. My truck is the same color as yours. Some days I love it and some days I don't. I've been trying to find a matching front fender for months now but it seems everything is blue or red. Maybe we have more of a rare color.

And yes, you do have to change the headlight doors but they are attached to the grille (and should come with it if you buy a used one). The side markers should be changed too as the bright trim around them isn't the same width (but otherwise, both models fit, I had "89-91" side markers on my '93 when I got it)

I just got this 91 a couple weeks ago...sold the topper for $100, so i've got $1650 in it. Just rolled 216,000 miles today. It was faded so bad, it looked almost flat pink, I had no idea it would turn out so good, but It buffed out pretty nice...So far I think its an awesome truck and I was lucky to get it, just gotta get the clutch fixed as soon as I get some time.
