I think the worst thing about a cage is it would make the COG higher. But on the good side at least you might survive your roll off a cliff.

i have a bunch of tube in my garage and would guess a 20' stick of 1 1/2 x .120 wall has to be around 25lbs
i'll way it tomorrow and give you and exact lbs per foot

Nah its not necessary, i was just wondering.

What do the cages do in terms of MPG? I think it would take up some, more wind resistance and weight...
Does it take a bit away? I would like to do an exo, but i don't know if it is needed.

cages are leagel. i found the weight on the tube... 1 1/2"x.120 wall dom tube wieghs 1.769lbs per foot
