Where does this yello/black ground wire go?

This ground is connected to fire wall between the heater hoses. It is black/yellow, 7inches long and has an eyelet on loose end. Maybe mounts to stud that holds vacumm line rails? All my labels came off since starting job. I'm alomst there after doing head/timming job. Gonna fire tonight!!!

If the 22RE is anything like my 22R & from your description of where the wire is, that wire mounts to the back of the cylinder head itself. Not the side but the very back. But then again, that is for my 22R.

It can mount to the back of the head, or on top of the valve cover. Ive seen that ground wire mounted to both places, so either place will work.

Strange, I figured this problem would be easy to solve by consulting the FSM. But it only lists two ground wires with eyelets, mounting down by the alternator and one by the intake manifold. I'd have to check my truck to see if it's there on mine...

I just ran it to valve cover, looks like previous owner made connection to firewall. Thanks for the help.

Awesome post. I should check my engine to make sure they're all there. I don't have AC either so I can double check his theory about #1 bolt.

edit - Ah nm, it's clarified later on in the post.

Wow, always impressed by YOTA YODA'S; that post answered a few other questions. I need to step up my game.
