whats the biggest i can go

i have IFS on my 1986 toyota with a 4in lift and i was wondering whats the iggest tire i could put on it if i did a 3in body lift................right now im running 31x13.5's i want to go 35x12's?

dont do a body lift. 4inches is already enough just cut the fenders

what would be ideal is 38's but i dont want to throw out my handling for a straight axle

im fine pounding on them i just dont want mud clods every where.........i always have a pressure washer though lol

There is NOTHING wrong with reasonable 3 inch or less body lifts.

4" bracket lift + 3" body lift + Bj spacers = 36" tire clearance. Don't bother going any bigger, IFS componants will start to break VERY often. Idler arms and tie rod ends come to mind....

I would say you'd be crazy even putting 35's on with IFS, seems alot of trucks over there in the states run 35's on IFS vehicles, I wouldn't even think about it unless you needed new tires now and plan on doing a solid axle swap in the near future.
