How long did you warm it up for this morning? Im up across the border and it was frosty/frozen here this morning and most of last week too, ive been burning up alot more gas just from the 10min warm up every morning, getting like 150km's less per tank.

maybe time for tune-up, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, air filter, etc.

Welcome to my world lol. 60 miles is what I drive round trip to work, and it costs me roughly $13 each day. I've found the gas mileage goes down with the 22RE when you are at 3000rpm on the 65mph highway. It does better at slower speeds.

How cold was it that you had to warm it up for 10 mins? I don't even warm my diesel up that long most of the time. I didn't think Vancouver got that cold.

Well i just changed the oil maybe 200 miles ago.
The air filter is still nice and white.
With the truck jacked up all tires spin freely.
I hardly ever have it in 4wd so its not in when im driving.
tires are all fine.
the last time it had a full tune up was when i bought it at 206k
and now has 216k does this seem like to long to wait to do a tune up?
and also is there any recals that might need to be done that will help the mpg i get?
Thanks
Clint

60 miles on a quarter tank is 240 miles on a full tank. 240 miles divided by 16 gallon fuel capacity gives you 15 mpg. Not great but not horrible either for these trucks.

I don't know if you go by your fuel gauge or whenever you fill gas, but the gauge is by no means linear. If mine shows three quarters or half full it's usually much less than that.

If you extend my calc to your last example you'd get better than 30 mpg. That's not going to happen in your truck.
