What transmission do I have? solenoids?

Hello,

I have a 1991 4runner V6 4wd auto, i ordered some solenoids for the transmission but they do not appear to be the same ones on my vehicle. They mount the same but electrical connection is oriented in diff direction and they are smaller. How can I confirm which transmission I have and which solenoids I need?

Thanks for help

Tag on the fire wall should tell you. At the bottom of it shoul be ...paint code/trimcode/gear code/tranny code. I bet it is a (a340?) f or h... Cant remember

i looked it up ,its a a340h..

Here a few sites for the right solenoids..or do a search on a340h solenoids and see what you come up with.

these are the solenoids I took out of a donor A340H,,,,,take a look and see if they look like the ones you received?...the black one came from the hydraulic transfer case that I tore down last summer

A340H all torn down even the hydraulic transfer case

Thanks guys, yes those are definitely the same as the solenoids in mine. I was curious because the replacement ones have a ground wire and different electrical connection, but I assume that wouldnt affect anything.

I ordered the ones for A340E and they appear to be slightly different, does anyone know if these will work? these are the ones i had ordered:

This site gives you the correct Toyota part number for any part on the truck: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/ Put in your VIN and only parts for your particular engine/transmission combination will show.
