What is this thing? Back of "sr5" gauge cluster

So today I was at Pick n Pull checking out the Yota's to see if I can find any goodies to save for later, came across a 94 4runner V6 Automatic 2WD with the gauge cluster sitting on the floor, I picked it up and looked at the back and saw this thing
Attached the back of the cluster between the speedo and tach, so I bought it to keep in case it's something cool or unique.
Anyone know what this is?

Ok yeah I was looking for that same post and couldn't find it cuz all I saw before was the title "anybody know what this is," did a search and still couldn't find it. So yeah. Thanks guys
