What glue to use?

I want to glue my rear bumpstops back in place. Not sure of the original factory configuration, but I think I will just scrape off the rust, and glue them in place. It isn't too crucial since I have determined that my shocks are too short to be jeopardized by over compressing the rear.

What glue would you use?

Through The Roof it is a roof sealant that is great for gluing other things I glued a pair of work boots up 2 years ago and it came apart a month ago after using them for hiking boots for the last 6 months.

I'm thinking completely remove rust and then rough it up with some 80 grit or less, clean with brake kleen, and JB Weld...

I thought JB weld was for metals. What about sanding all the rust off, rust painting it and using marine epoxy?

Any other ideas?

there is lepages construction adhesive that will stick anything to anything. clean both surfaces as best you can and have at it. youll have to figure out some way to keep a bit of pressure until this stuff sets up, usually 24 hrs.
