Pics of what wheels that I was talking about, ....the outlaw 2's? That's them, up there^^^ . If you mean the Summit Racing redlines, I can't seem to find a pic of them on their site. Some people on here have them, though. Guy with a SWEEEEEEEEET 3RD GEN 4RUNNER has that color set up but the rims he has were like 200 a piece...not bad for heavy duty 10" rims. Especially if yer gonna romp on em, yeah? lol. 42$??? Dang, that's cheap, Swimmer!

i got those wheels from summit. i like them. TIP: try to pick them up at the store. if shipped, (or when you pick up) IMMEDIATELY check for any out of roundness. they will NOT take them back once mounted if you find a balancing issue. (and i found this out how? )

also, they back order frequently.

if you are really hell bent on yellow, here's some inspiration:

this is the thread hosting that pic above of the yellow runner next to the Xterra. it is picture HEAVY.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/313744

you may also want to consider "school bus yellow". done right, it would make your truck look more like a construction vehicle and less like a Baywatch rescue truck. here's an example.

more paint tips:

flat colors hide imperfections better than metallic
lighter colors (white beige, sky blue) hide imperfections better than dark (navy, black)
red and orange fades faster than blue and green. wax with UV protection will fight fading

DO SEARCHES ON GOOGLE for trucks. but do IMAGE searches. type in first gen 4runner then choose IMAGE at the top LEFT, so you get pages full of pictures. i was looking for a truck i'd seen before just the other day, and wound up getting distracted for 2 hrs just looking at nice toyotas. here's a thread i found with some great trucks i'd not seen on YT.

http://www.intermountainriders.com/f...&sd=a&start=10

good luck!

I hear ya, ....but notice the rims? hahahaa. Jk, man, ...you'll have it looking sweet, I'm sure. Not sure about the yellow line on the rims though....I've seen people paint the truck color on the inside of the circle/cut outs on the rims, ...but not the line, other than red. Red is more subtle, ...not sure how the yellow would go. Oh well, TRY IT, you can always paint over it with black ,eh? lol.

Good luck, Swimmer!

Yeah, .....well Like I said, look around for some pics of the method I mentioned....IT LOOKS SWEET, ...(Where you paint the body color in the inside/only of the cut out holes). When are you painting it, btw? Don't tell me next year, Swimmerboy! lol.....JK, don't matter....but I hope it's soon. It's always exciting to get new paint, ....EVEN MAKES IT RUN BETTER, IT ALWAYS SEEMED TO ME, HAHAHA.

PS> what are you doing about the body rot? You letting the shop deal with it? Make sure you ask about an undercoating, too, k? Some guys on here might know which is best on the undercoat. I'm in So.Cal, so it's hard to find rust on mine, lol.

Can't wait to see it, Swimmer, ...best wishes!

Now, what exactly did you mean when you said paint the inside of the cut out holes? I'm not following that. I plan on painting the truck after my next paycheck, so in a few weeks. I'm really excited to get started on the paint.

Now about the body rot, it's all taken care of! I ground out all the rust (which wasn't much) and bondo'd over the rusty spots. For under the truck i bought some rust stopping paint AKA bedliner. I also plan on lining the inside of the truck under the seats and stuff to prevent rust. Overall it's a very clean truck rust-wise.

this style wheel may be easier to find used on older GM trucks. same bolt pattern 6x5.5

when i bought a set of used 31" BFG A/Ts, they were mounted on 15x9" GM aluminums just like these. with 4" backspacing, they put the meats just outside the fenders quite nicely.

yeah, i knew you'd like that yellow runner. that rig is decked OUT!!

if you're looking for the color accent on the wheel, i recommend some faux beadlocks and spray 'em yellow. you can buy 'em separate and mount them on the soft 8s, which is what I did (but red), OR you can buy the wheels with the faux beadlocks already attached, THEN paint them. the black steelies at Summit with the beadlocks only come with the old skool "D-hole" look, and i think they're $60-90 rather than $40+.

there's a yellow jeep around ATL with yellow beadlocks. it looks sick, and it's what motivated me to do mine in red. here's one that is similar:

link to plenty more pics of this jeep:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/470429

OR you could do the whole wheel in yellow:

i found these by doing google IMAGE search for "yellow beadlocks" the IMAGE feature of google is freakin' awesome for quickly finding what you can picture in your mind, but just can't describe!

oh and of course, here's MY truck with faux beadlocks i painted red, i think they look better than just a red pinstripe:
