I always thought the SnugTop brand had the best fit/look for the '89-'95 body style. I've had mine for a few years now and I'm very happy with it. That said, there are several manufacturers like Leer, Innovative, . . . hmmm I can't think of the others right now.

Canopies for Toyota shortbeds from 84-95 will fit, shortbed Tacos 95-04 should fit too.
The Extracab canopies won't fit if they are cab-fitting, if they are straight-up at the cab they will fit.
Some other small trucks may have the same bed dimensions as well, but you should measure to be certain. I do know that the Ranger and Mitsubishi shortbed canopies will NOT fit, they are roughly 1 3/4" too short. (I know this because I inherited a mint canopy off a Mitsu shortbed, and it was too short, and I sold it to a guy who just bought a new Ranger and it fit perfectly.)
Hope that helps.

My Raider shell fits pretty nice when I actually have it on. It just sits by the tool shed mostly now though.

I had an Innovation, and it fit really nice. Had a problem with the gel coat oxidizing really bad after maybe 5 yrs. Before it faded though, the color matched perfect.

i've got a snugtop on mine, looks really sharp when it's wet, since the paint/gel coat/etc is pretty much oxidized. if i run my fingernail i get the true color to come out of it, is there any hope to buff it out?

I used 3M FinesseIt, and it worked pretty well, but didn't last too long...

Wet sand it with 1000 grit then buff it shiny again with compound. If it looks great - then clearcoat it. If not, paint it and be done with it. Gelcoat will always re-oxidize eventually and can be buffed back to gloss only so many times before you rub through. We have some pretty good products that utilize copious quantities of elbow grease that do a really good job on the boats, where we don't want to do clearcoat or wax or anything slick - (Decks and cabins - hulls are painted.) Can't come up with a name off the top of my head.

Gelcoat or fiberglass "restorers" do not work. None of them, I've spent a fortune over the years trying to find a product that works for the boats. The trick is remove the oxidized layer, and buff the gelcoat itself back to a shine.

Is a Snug Top finished in gel coat or is it painted? They color matched mine to my truck. So, I figured it's painted. But, I never really thought about it.

If they color match they are most likely to be painted. Gelcoat doesn't lend itself to easy color matching, imagine all the colors! - while paint is a snap.

Yep, great for a once-over before selling. Also only good from 10 feet, close inspection reveals an icky surface. The long term effects are hideous. (I used to do that, but then spent the hours sanding it down for paint later...)
