Welding near ECU question
It's time to cut out the passenger side rocker and weld in a new one. I intend to pull the ECU and disconnect the battery ground before firing up the MIG. Any other electronics I should be concerned about?
TIA

Negative cable disconnected you should be good to go.
You are removing the carpet and undercoating any wiring close to where you might be welding
I never did more then remove the negative cable on numerous vehicles .
A fire watcher is not a bad idea if it is practical

Thanks for the reply. When I start it will be door off, seat out, carpet back, ECU removed and a welding blanket hung to block the interior...I hate doing something stupid that hurts my bank account. Now you've got me worried that Toyota may have run wires through the rocker. Thanks again, wyoming9.

The rocker is jammed up into the door; it still opens and closes, but it is catching water and transmitting the body vibrations to the window. If the old one has to come off, might as well put in the new one.
