installed new rotors should I use new pads

Finishing up total rebuild of front suspension. I went ahead and got new rotors in the process. The pads I have on the truck are about half gone. What is the consensus as far as breaking in the new rotors, okay with old pads or should I go new. A little voice in my head tells me to go with some new pads. It will still be a few weeks before I am able to drive her as I still have to replace the valve cover gaskets and check all the valve clearances, then order any shims if necessary. I hate to take it in for an alignment with it leaking oil like it is.

^^^^^Yep, kinda what I was thinking. Thanks
Looking forward to getting it back on the road. Getting tired of driving the old 300 everyday.
Cheers
Andy
