Weird Electrical Problem, Need Help Quick
Hey guys, posted this yesterday but nobody replied. I really need some help since this is my daily driver.
Arced a wrench from the PS pump across the +battery terminal.
If I disconnect the battery and reconnect I get power to the entire vehicle.
If I try to start it, I hear a click (like the selenoid on the starter) and the entire system goes black. Nothing, no cab tone, no dash lights, nothing.
Disconnect the battery and reconnect and I get power again to the entire system. Try to start it, click, nothing, and system goes black.
12.5 volts at battery. Main fuse and all fuses are fine. Checked the EFI and Starter relays, work.
Please help! Any ideas?

I dont have any ideas but I am guessing with your screen name of 94 that you have a 3.0? I looked at your profile and didnt see what truck you have. Put that information up and someone that knows your truck might be able to help.
You checked what I would of suspected. Maybe the Fusible link and 80 amp fuse on the inner fender if it is 22r/e. If you did the battery/AFM swap, Power Steering and Battery arent normally on same side. Electric isnt my strong point.

My 85 had similar symptoms, ended up being a bad ground. (In my case, the negative battery terminal had come off the battery.) Check your negative cable and grounds.

Appears to be a loose ground wire at the battery terminal.
I crimp on some new leads and bought a new - battery terminal. Seems to have fixed it.
Hard to detect but I got it.
Thx
