Is there more than one Water Pump (different impeller size) used in the 22R engine?

GMB Japan w/pump 18R-22R 62mm impeller
&
GMB Japan w/pump 20R-21R-22R 69mm impeller

Does anyone know which is which, and why the cross-over of year models?

I believe either one will work, I'd prefer the one with the larger impeller.
