W56 Transmission Problems
Fist off I have been reading Yota tech for a very long time and a lot of the advice on here is great. I felt it was time to get to know some of you guys and take the time to Register and see if I could return the favors so many of you have granted me......That being said.....I have an 88 model (pickup) with the 22re with the w56 5 speed.I bought the truck to turn into something akin to so much of what I see here.It was making the common growling sounds that they do after low maintenance so i decided to pull the tranny and stick in the new bearings ( most common prob ) upon disassembly i found busted gears , broken bearing races , missing synchros ,hardly any fluid at all , and none of the snap rings were there anymore. SOOOO.....off to the scrapyard with that one ! now my question is ( besides a martin ) where is the best place around KS to find Toyota parts ? I need one asap and dont have the availability of a donor truck.I do have an 87 4runner,but Id rather not gut that one to build this truck.Any help would be much appreciated and hopefully returned in the future.I am new here so if I posted this in the wrong place .....Sorry !

Just watch your posting. The title has punctuation in it covering a fowl word, at least I assume. The moderators don't tolerate that very well. In the future try to use the word you want rather than the way you put it.
Just trying to help you out.

Yes I still part out 4runners. My inventory is a little low at the moment as I have not found another rig to part out, but I do have parts and am looking to start another one soon.
