There's a back-up switch/sensor on the back passenger side of the 5 speed tranny IIRC, and there is a an E brake light switch on the tube under the dash....you know the tube that the e brake bar slides into. Check those. As for the batt light, check your alt and your batt connections, clean the terminals. Might be some corrosion, there.

My back up lights didnt work, i just had a short and put new wires in. Also, in a recent 4wheel and offroad magazine, they said a good fog light cover is a toque or big sock or something easy and cheap like that. Plus when tis cold you can take them off and wear them!

***edit for spelling fail

yeah i found the reverse switch last night, tested it - faulty. but i am also not getting power to it. i traced the black with and orange stripe wire back to the fuse box under the hood but i cant figure out which fuse it is on. my manual says it on the eng. fuse but i dont see that either.

the brake light i was told was either my proportioning valve or simply that i need to bleed my brakes properly. i have looked into the dash switch and level switch in the master cyl. before and they both work fine.

the battery light i am petty sure is a ground problem, since the alt is charging fine and my battery con. are clean as a whistle. i think if i cant figure it out right away i'll just take out the bulb in the gauge cluster for the next VI.

thanks guys.

Not real clever.

Thank god you got pulled over. You really needed to fix a lot of stuff. Mostly pretty basic too

Those chopped up weakened upper control arms will make you fail inspection no matter how much paint you put on them, so if you want to get it road worthy you're gonna have to replace them.
