Vacuum hoses and solenoids???

93 runner 3.0l auto.... passenger side wheel well, there is 2 banks of solenoids... one set of 2 and a set of 3. set of 2 is for the 4wd actuator. What is the other 3 bank ( plugs are green orange lt blue) set for??? I need to find a vac diagram for them. Did engine swap. Prev owner didnt have any of these hooked up...

vacuum diagrams should be in the FSM or on the autozone website. Both can be found with minimal effort. It would also help if we knew which engine your going to and from.

Those other 3 are part of the EGR and emissions system.

xxxtreme... thanks for the link....

Axle..... yes i found that yesterday of a diagram... ported vac to the 1st switch then out to the 1 of 2 egrs on the system. Seems like EGR valve.

Now I need to understand how the vac switches work for the front diff... 2 valves actuate the front diff. When 4wd h/l are engaged, only one switch is enabled... and sends vac down to the front switch... the other vac~switch is not enabled thus no vac supplied to the actuator on the side.

Take a look at this thread. In the first post is a picture with all the fittings numbered and in Post #11 each hose is identified as to where it connects at both ends.
