V8 Radiator, 4 Core BIG & Electric fans.
Hello, sup guys & gals. As some of you know, i sucked up some water in my runner, and well i've decided to probably go ahead and go w/ a 350 swap. I've got prices on all the parts i need. However, i don't like the price of the radiator too much. Northwest parts sells their 4 core radiator, for the 350 swap, for 496.95... 500 bucks. I just did some research to find 4 cores elsewhere, with no luck. So i now turn to yall.
Does anyone know where i can get a good 4 core radiator for my 1990 4runner. I could understand 300, maybe 400 max, but 500 you gotta be kidding me.
If no one knows that, do you know if a 3 core will work? If so, what sould i get, the ones on ebay made by performance radiators, sells for i dun how much, or what? & how much power can it handle? I'd like 300-350hp/tq.
Then, what about an elect fan. the tarus fan mod i doubt will then mount up... so what do i do?
Thanks in advance.

I'm running about 300 hp with a 3 core but I think it's near the border line of cooling capacity. I'll find out next summer. I may have to look into that 4 core myself, is this it? http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/engineswap.html
Darn the one they have pictured has the inlet and outlet on the wrong side for my engine.

mm, yes goat that's the one i'm talking about... and who knows, that could be the chevy radiator, not ford? duno. i know chevy puts their coolant hoses like that, duno about ford. pictures don't always represent the product.
i agree, ya do have to pay to play, but 500 bucks paying for something that should cost 300, just doesn't seem right to me. I"ll probably have to end up getting it, but who knows.
So does anyone else know?

Its a DD, I drive everywhere. I have drivin it on 75mile, one way trips on the interstate going over 80, with no overdrive! runs under 200. around town in stop and go traffic is where it gets drivin the most. I gotta say I love burning the tires and watching little honda's try to keep up with me. I've never had it dyno'ed but it will pin you in the seat.

overdrive would be nice, but if it's a straight up mud/trails truck & occasional weekend drive.. is it really needed(for the extra money of an OD trans & controller)???
