the other thing you have to check is the fluids... diffs, tranny, xfer.

did you ever think that you may have blown a head gasket right by where the oil return is? not real good with the 3.0 but i hit a deep mudhole with my 22re and this is what happened to the headgasket.

it literaly was spitting coolant out of the back where that ripped out part was. btw my air filter was drenched and quickly replaced with an open element oiled type. (k&n)

Its been inspected already, piston #1 threw a rod and cracked the side of my block open. =\

yeah, thats why i dont do mud or water. snorkel on the new motor is definately a good idea. also extender breather lines on everything.
