Twin leaks

When I shut the engine down, I notice a serious leak that creates two equal puddles under the truck. Leaks for about 3 minutes until the drip slowly stops. I can see a drip from a little below the passenger valve cover (every 3 seconds or so) when looking with the hood open. I can't see one from the driver side though. From previous wrenching experience I've never had valve cover gaskets that leak this much...if this is in fact my main issue. Mainly have experience working on inline motors so just wanted to tap your guys knowledge before going to the point of no return! Mahalo!

1. Leaking valve cover gaskets is not that uncommon; particularly if you do not follow the FSM when replacing them.

2. That does look like a lot of oil for a valve cover gasket, but if it looks like it's coming from there, that's a good start.

3. with any leak (of any kind), gravity is not your friend. Everything looks like it's coming from the main seal. Get some spray on degreaser and a garden hose; get the engine squeaky clean. Then start it up and look for your leaks.

Got it all cleaned up and all I see is that leak on the passenger side. Did you do valve cover gaskets on your 94? Looks like a pain in the butt job on the passenger side. I've heard cam seals as well...sounds like a bigger job than I may want to tackle if that is the case. Thanks!
