im looking at the 4 inch lifts for my 93 pickup. skyjacher is cheapest lift is $700 and tuff countrys is $800 any suggenstions are welcome.

Most guys will tell you to not buy either of them due to the deep seated hatred of bracket lifts here....but thats not what you want to hear.
I would look at which one offers taller leaf springs for the rear as opposed to lift blocks which can eventually warp or break your stock leaf springs.
I believe the bracket lift design for the front is essentially the same no matter who makes it.

Skyjacker let's you get springs instead of blocks, and their setup's really good quality stuff. The brackets are both one piece welded designs, whereas I think the tuff country's front bracket requires reusing the OE crossmember... I went through the same process as you and my conclusion was that the skyjackers just a better kit all around. Great customer support too.

Where did you find the 700 skyjacker kit? I bought mine through a local mom n pop truck store and with 4 nitro shocks, a new steering stabilizer, and rear poly-bushings (which actually came with the kit so I ended up having two sets) the whole thing came out to like 1800+tax. Yeah, buying from a retail store it was more than intertnet prices, but still, 700 bucks seems too cheap...

Oh, one minor downside to the skyjacker lift is the instructions, which could be clearer, and requires some improvisation as some stuff just won't work out if you try to follow the directions perfectly step by step. It's simple stuff though, and nothing a little old fashioned common sense can't solve.

No, it was a legit price for a retailer. I think the internets making in-store prices seem all out of whack. The $700 kit is probably for the blocks in the rear, it's like $950 to get the new springs. Plus, skyjacker dont include shocks, so thats another 300 bucks. And the steering stabilizers about 70 bucks. That's still a lot less than 1800 though, tomorrow when its not cold and miserable out I'll check the receipt...

Back when I got the kit, I didn't really understand the concept of doing a SAS. Plus I didnt know how to weld, and still dont. EVentually, when I do learn to weld, I will SAS

Okay, so it wasn't 1800, it was actually 1600.
72.03 - Stabilizer
91.30 - T421RS Rear end lift hardware
943.03 - T422 Front end lift kit & hardware
511.60 - TR49S Rear leaf springs (I mighta got ripped on these)
213.88 - 4 Gas charged Shocks

500 for springs is a bit much, probably find them for about 3 stacks...
But whatev...

And yeah I hear ya about not getting the concept and such, I think after seeing so many threads and swaps, since I can weld, With everything it would maybe take me a weekend, Maybe 4 days, I just dont have the mulah

I dont really have any good suggestions for a FOUR inch lift in that price range...they pretty much all suck...they all either use blocks or severly arched (READ: no flex, crappy ride) leafs to get the height....

I assume you have IFS too?

THere are much better ways to spend 7 or 800 bucks on your rig and make it 10 times more capable....

Got my used 4" Trailmaster lift for $150. Then Skyjacker shocks for $128. Kit came with a steering stabilizer and bracketry. I did have to order longer u bolts for $40 as I didn't get them off the other truck, and $17 for the rear front differential drop bracket. So about $335 in it so far. Thank goodness the guy that had the lift before rolled his truck. Otherwise I'd still be on cranked t bars and 33s.
